Setup Outgoing eDocs

Various setup tables are available for sending electronic receipts. Depending on the target format used, these may be mandatory or optional.

VAT Posting Matrix

The VAT Posting Matrix maintains the tax category and tax type required for the target format.

Many electronic document formats – for example ZUGFeRD – expect defined values for each tax constellation to be output in the XML. These values are determined via the VAT Posting Matrix.

The combinations depend on the respective target format or country profile and must be maintained according to the respective specification.

Note: The required values are not provided by the app. The valid combinations must be taken from the documentation of the respective target format (e.g., ZUGFeRD or Peppol BIS) and set up accordingly by the user.

Payment Methods (optional)

Through this setup, Business Central payment methods can be assigned to the payment types used in the target format.

This is especially useful when multiple internal payment methods are to be mapped to the same standard code of the target format.

Note: If there is only one unique assignment, the eDoc code list can alternatively be used.

Units of Measure (optional)

This setup assigns Business Central units of measure to the standardized units of measure of the target format.

This setup is required when multiple internal units of measure are to use the same external code.

Example

In the example, several internal quantity units are mapped to the standard code H87 (Piece).

Note: If there is only a clear 1:1 assignment, the eDoc code list can also be used for this.
